Richard Fothergill training for the ‘Great Trek!’

The Great Trek prayer walk from John o’Groats to Lands End is less than a month away and Filling Station Director, Richard Fothergill is getting into training with long walks from his West Country home.  Many friends from across the Filling Station network of meetings will be joining him at various points along the 508 mile route, all to pray that Britain becomes a Christian nation once again!  The walking route connects 26 different Filling Station meetings in all four parts of the Kingdom, starting in Scotland on June 5th, moving to N.Ireland on June 21st, to England from the 25th, and Wales by the 27th of June.  Ending with a 150 mile walk down the ‘leg’ of England to Cornwall and Land’s End on July 17th.  A full dateline itinerary will be posted on the Filling Station Facebook page nearer the start date.  As well as praying for the country, the walk is aiming to raise sponsorship money for two charities – ‘Hands at Work’, who deal with some of the poorest of the poor in Africa, and new Filling Station meetings who are struggling to set up across the world.  More details and how to sponsor him on this Trek can be found at: my.give.net/thegreattrek
