July Meeting
July 13th
Our speaker was Simon Taylor who was in the Police Force for a long time and did reach the rank of Deputy Chief Constable in Norfolk – and he was also president of the UK Christian Police Association for some time. He is now based at Kingsbury Episcopi and is much involved with ministry in the area. His talk was focussed on how we can really develop what God wants us to do. In the first place we must look to the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct us which can really help us to get going for God. Secondly, we must turn to the Scripture for wisdom and guidance – and the Holy Spirit can enable us to get more focussed on what God wants us to do. The third part of the talk was about how we must become good and effective witnesses to others – and we must learn how to share God’s word and love with people we know and others we may meet. Once again, the Holy Spirit can help us to develop our witness for God’s word.
