September barbecue and meeting

In September we had a brilliant start to the autumn Filling Station meetings – starting with a barbecue, sharing a simple meal outside and lots of you came to join us.  We were pretty lucky with the weather, as the rain started to fall, rather half-heartedly, just as we were coming in for worship.  We sang some good praise songs with Nigel Pybus and his band, then we listened to Barbara Jenkinson, of Light and Life, Glasgow, who spoke to us about her work and told us some inspiring stories of people who have come to God.  She was saying that we are living in exciting times, that God is pouring out his spirit all over Scotland, that He is using people to get the rivers of faith to flow all among us – He is looking for people to say “yes” to Him.  She gave us some prophetic words about Fife – the Lord says this place has had hard ground, but that there is the scent of water about here, that prodigal sons and daughters are coming home.
