January Meeting
Tom Putt, assistant minister at St John’s Church in Yeovil, was the speaker at our January meeting. The theme was “evangelism” and referred to 1 Peter chapter 3 verses 15 and 16, and 2 Corinthians chapter 4. We were reminded of the hope that we have through the amazing salvation that we have received through Jesus’ death on the cross and the extraordinary empty cross that shows us his wonderful resurrection. This means that we must be increasingly determined to evangelise others whom we know because the King of the universe is overlooking us, loving us and giving us remarkable hope. In particular we should be well prepared to answer any questions which non-believers might put to us and have sound Biblical responses to give them.
Our next meeting is on Friday February 9th at Ridgway Hall and our speaker will be Nigel Rawlinson, who is an Associate Minister, at All Saints Weston, Bath and the Chaplain at the University of Bath.
