Thursday 20th September – Gordon Bambridge

In church life Gordon became a Christian 46 years ago, after hearing the Gospel for the first time in an anglican church (St Catherines in Mile Cross). He has since become comfortable in many denominations preaching across Norfolk and the UK with occasional visits to parts of Europe and USA. Whilst not there every week he considers his main church these days to be a local CofE where he takes a regular 1662 prayer book service and preaches.

After conversion Gordon became a lay leader in the church overseeing the outreach, leading a bible study and some youth and old people’s work.  He then became a Reader, and later joined the Full Gospel Businessmen where he served in a number of capacities including chapter president.

In his personal life he has seen some highs and some lows over the years in business, all of which led to a particularly firm relationship with God over financial matters.  Gordon is married to Jacqueline with three daughters.  He is now semi retired but is kept busy as a district councillor for 15 villages and as a cabinet member for Breckland District Council for planning and housing.
