South Hereford Filling Station is very much alive and well!
I don’t what has happened to my posts about November and January’s meetings at South Hereford Filling Station? I remember writing them and checking that they made sense once published, but they’ve disappeared!
So to recap… In November, after a time of worship, coming into God’s presence in a very special way, Hilary Morgan, Pioneer Priest in the local deanery and Parish Priest for 5 local churches spoke of the importance of encountering the living God. Just as he broke into Mary’s insignificant, ordinary life and turned it upside down, God has a message, a plan and a promise for each one of us. Hilary reminded us of the angel Gabriel’s words “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” (Luke 1:35) which God is saying to each one of us today! Hilary encouraged us to write down hopes or dreams we have, both big and far reaching and personal. And then in a time of waiting on God, everyone was prayed with and blessed.
No meeting in December just a few days before Christmas but January meeting was an extended time of worship and teaching with Keith Baldwin (and John) from Putson Baptist church. We came away having been reminded of God’s grace, encouraged to remember we’re God’s special possession and strengthened for the journey on through 2019. A great evening!
