What our Teams felt during 24 Hours of Prayer for The Filling Station

24 Hours of Prayer 24 January 2022

Thank you!

On Monday 24 January 2022, our Filling Station teams across the world, chose an hour-long slot over 24 hours, to pray for The Filling Station ministry.

By using the virtual Prayer Room through the 24/7 Prayer website, teams and individuals were able to sign up easily for a slot.

Summary:

  1. Encouragement to walk in faith and obedience, and to have courage
Many felt to pray FS to continue to be places where the love, and hope and presence of Jesus is ministered, fear is driven out.

‘Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid, don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take’ (Joshua 1:9, MSG)
  2. The Lord is doing a NEW thing
A new era is dawning after a long night.
He wants to welcome us HOME to His heart, to offer that welcome to others who don’t yet know Him, to use our homes and gatherings for this.

‘”I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19, Passion)
  3. Remember to continue to ‘Delight in the Lord’ (Psalm 37:23, 24)
We, and our teams, must not lose this. He will uphold us when we stumble.

‘He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things’ (Psalm 107:9)

Expanded themes:

  1. Keep walking on in faith & obedience in the midst of uncertainty

It will clear and you will find yourself in a new place. A new era will dawn, the sundial rise after the long night, look for the dawn. The struggle may seem hardest just before the dawn.
Strength!  Courage! Don’t be timid, don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take”. (Joshua 1.9, The MSG).

2. A picture of Jesus standing high over the UK

As we prayed, He was giving ‘a fresh touch’ to our FS meetings.

3. ‘Delight in the Lord’ (Psalm 37:23-24)

Are there FS teams that have lost that delight? This verse encourages that the Lord delights in a man’s way & reassures us that thought we stumble the Lord upholds.

4. Be courageous: we can do all things through Christ…

FS is a well and wealthy of prayer and His Presence. The harvest is ripe: pray for more labourers to come, a fresh revelation of Jesus, he’d pour out His Sprit on all at FS, and bring new people to the well.

5. A beacon of light

A reminder that FS will continue to be a beacon of truth and light, picture of a lighthouse.

6. He wants to use our homes and gatherings

His arms are open wide, He wants to welcome us HOME to His heart and He wants to offer that welcome to others.  He wants to use our homes and gatherings as places of welcome to the prodigals, to those who are hurting, to those who have not yet encountered His heart of love.

‘”I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.  Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19, Passion)

7. Picture of the country covered in lights
Praying into the dark patches on the map. ‘Unity’ – for every FS, team and meeting.

8. The love of Jesus silences and drives out fears.

Praying too in hope, truth and love. ‘He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things’ (Psalm 107:9)

9. Fires of faith being ignited
We would mutually encourage each other’s faith, online and in person, and stir one another up, across the country and beyond.

‘”I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.”‘ (Romans 1:11-12, NIV)

10. Praying He WILL bring salvations as we pray today
Words from ‘Our God Saves‘ – As your saints bow down, as your people pray
