Laura Brett starts in new role as Evangelism Consultant, at The Filling Station Trust
“We are all delighted that Laura can join us as head of our evangelistic efforts. She has a proven track record of personal evangelism, leading people to the Lord on a regular basis.
Jo Fothergill, who has been spearheading evangelism at the Filling Station to date, is thrilled that Laura has joined us and we can now support all the FS meetings in this key area.
As Laura and her husband Rob are on the leadership team of the Harrogate meeting they know first hand what good things can happen at a Filling Station each month!“– Richard Fothergill
More about Laura:
Laura is an Evangelist, a qualified midwife (Bsc) Hons, international speaker and a passionate advocate and activist for vulnerable women, human rights, freedom and positive mental health.
She trained and worked in the field of perinatal mental health as a specialist midwife for a number of years and has recently held the role of Head of Fundraising & Promotion at Wellspring Therapy & Training in Yorkshire, UK. Laura was previously Head of Development at charity Press Red and is deeply concerned about the impact that poor mental health has on today’s society.
She firmly believes that the transformational power of the gospel is fundamental in setting people free from the hurt, shame and destruction that they can experience in their lifetime, and longs to see the complete freedom that salvation in Jesus Christ brings.
Laura and her husband Rob lead The Filling Station in Harrogate – an informal monthly spirit-filled, cross-denominational meeting of worship, Word and ministry and she has recently completed a post graduate certification in Missiology.
Laura has three teenage children and enjoys walking in the countryside with her two labradors.
