“Prayer Shot” – July summary

Prayer Shot

On Tuesday 5 July, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Simon and Brian.

We prayed that God would stir up the prophetic in His people, that we would grow in evangelism, and take this to the stations He has placed us in… and spread that out!

Here’s our summary of this prayer meeting.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

matthew 11:28

Simon opened with this beautiful song from Crowder and the lyrics, “Come as you are”.

Come as you are

Come as you are

Fall in his arms

Come as you are

Come as you are by Crowder

Prayer for FS leadership and refreshment for leaders

  • Laying down weariness. Asking the Lord to give us rest, in whatever form we need. Can do as individuals and also collectively.
  • God bringing something fresh again to us: praying for His rest, His refreshment, His fresh vision.
  • Praying that Leaders would know the Lord guidance and encouragement – strengthen those who are weary today.
  • Praying for those who had a hard time during lockdown: for God to release His presence in them, and that they would know God’s grace.
  • Psalm 114:8 – “the God of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water”… We need to wrestle with God. It’s HIM who turns the rock into springs of living water.
  • Picture of the Lord as the divine gardener, bringing the water of life. He knows what each of us needs. The sunflowers in this garden are blooming. We will be like those sunflowers. Perhaps we’re feeling dried out and lacking strength and source. Praying that the Heavenly gardener would come and replenish, and put His good soil back in again.
  • Praying for Team gatherings in August, where we might break bread together and pray for each other and pray.
  • Praying for the Filling Station Trustees, and their governance.

Praying for the Filling Station Autumn Renewal Conference

  • Praying for those 250 delegates/spaces at the Conference, that the people who would need to be there, would come and hear the message of hope. That the presence of the Holy Spirity would be so strond.
  • Northwich – Romans were salt panning in Northwich – they found rock salt there… interesting place for our conference! Praying we would be a salty people!
  • Praying that wells of living water would spring up afresh in each Filling Station meeting and especially at the conference.
  • Praying for Sally who’s organising the Conference.
  • Praying for unity in leadership and organisation of the Conference.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Matthew 5:13
