Our guest speaker will be Steve Johnson, the Associate Vicar at Knowle Parish Church.

Prior to this post, Steve was Vicar of St Michael’s Sunninghill and All Souls’ South Ascot for 12 years. God’s call on Steve over that time was to develop a renewed sense of spiritual excitement, encounter and growth across the parish, whilst encouraging the churches to be more outward facing. 

Steve’s role at Knowle Parish Church is focussed around evangelism and discipleship, with an emphasis on building relationships and faith in the under 45s. He’s relishing this very different role and the opportunities for creativity in mission and worship that it brings.

A particular highlight in the Autumn was spending a week without shoes to raise awareness of shoe poverty across our country. This resulted in delivering 1000 pairs of shoes to ShoeAid, Nottingham, and numerous conversations with non-Church people about what he was doing, and the purpose and role of the Church. 

Steve and his family attend the New Wine conference each year and he enjoys ministering in the power of the Spirit, seeing what God is doing and getting stuck in.
