Event Details

Rev Hannah Moore will be talking about the need for firm foundations.

Hannah was born in Bedfordshire but moved to South Africa as a child in 1979 and remained there for 23 years. She qualified as a teacher and taught primary school for a few years before leaving to work on a titanium mining project as a Cost Controls Manager. On her return to England in 2002, she lived in Fleet with husband Michael, and children Rachael and Reuben. They attended The Church on Heath and she became involved in leading holiday clubs, playing in the worship group and eventually leading and preaching at services. During this time, she set up a business with her sister and mum offering afterschool art and craft clubs in schools in Surrey and Hampshire. She ran this business for fourteen years before being ordained.

She undertook her theological training at St Mellitus College in London. During her training she worked at the Parish of Fleet as a Children and Families Worker and Church on the Heath as a Minister in Training. She served her curacy in the Parish of Badshot Lea and Hale in the churches of St George’s, St John’s and St Mark’s.

In 2020 she became the vicar at the Parishes of Elstead, Thursley, Shackleford and Peper Harow and moved to Elstead with her family. They had a real sense that God was calling them to these parishes for the next season of her ministry. She wants to be able to share her faith by living it out and is inspired to action by the words of the prayer after Communion which calls us to be a “living sacrifice” and “to live and work for God’s praise and glory.”
