Phil is a retired leader of Highworth Community Church, which he helped found 40 years ago. As well as being a leader for over 30 years, Phil was an Assistant Head of a tough school in Swindon, a District Union Secretary and heavily involved in football. In addition, Phil has had much experience in broadcasting including doing many God slots on BBC Wiltshire.

Phil has a passion for both the Church and Evangelism.  This has led him currently to be involved in leading Alpha courses and supporting the work of CAP (Christians Against Poverty). In addition, he is part of the Stanford in the Vale Filling Station Core Team.

At this month’s Filling Station, Phil will be looking at “the devices of the enemy” and how we can be overcomers.

Alex Gichohi (Zangi) is leading the worship this month. Alex is from Nairobi and now lives in Highworth. He has a music ministry, not only in this country, but also in the USA and Kenya. Alex has blessed us on several previous occasions at the Filling Station. His music can be found online.
