The speaker at the Filling Station meeting on Friday November 8th is Mark Rylands.  As some folk round here will remember, he was the team rector of the Langport area for 6 years from 1997 to 2002 and really enjoyed his time here.  He moved on from here to work for the Diocese of Exeter and he became Canon at Exeter Cathedral.  In 2009 he moved up to Shropshire and was appointed Bishop of Shrewsbury.  Whilst he certainly enjoyed his time as a Bishop, in 2018 he felt that it would be good to return to a church as a vicar where he could redevelop his evangelical focus and he is now based at Ashburton in Devon.  He is very much looking forward to returning here to speak at the Filling Station and it may be good for some of us to catch up with him then!
