April Gathering
Our speaker on Thursday 4th April will be Ricky Bain of CVM Scotland. 
Ricky lives in Alford, Aberdeenshire and has been married to Joanne since 1996, they have 5 gorgeous children, Katie, Hannah, Rebecca, Rachel and Samuel.
Ricky’s childhood was spent in Orkney Islands, a beautiful place to have a childhood. This is where he nearly gave his life to Jesus at the age of 15, but thought he had too much wild living to do before he would consider Jesus.
Ricky gave his life to the Lord in 1998, at the age of 29 (after far too many years of wild living), this happened at Gerrard Street Baptist Church, Aberdeen, at a Holy Spirit evening. Since that night he has always shared his faith to the unchurched, especially the guys he works with, God has given him a heart for the men.
Ricky’s journey with God has involved helping to run Alpha Courses and being involved with Street Pastors, he loves being able to share what God has done in his life.
His work had been in the Oil Industry for nearly 20 years, but he was made redundant due to the downturn in the industry. Ricky currently works for a roofing company in Alford.
Ricky’s hobbies are swimming, cycling and football; he also helps coach his son’s football team in Alford.
Ricky’s heart is for the Men of Scotland to come to God, that is why he’s so excited about CVM and becoming the Regional Director for Scotland (North).speaker on Thursday 4th April will be Ricky Bain of CVM Scotland.
