September Meeting
Our speaker in September was Simon Guillebaud who has worked as a missionary in Burundi for 20 years. It is wonderful how God has really worked through him and about 175 000 people have come to faith in Christ through his ministry. The theme for the talk he gave us was how we must choose life to accept God’s grace and work for Him and we had 9 “bullets” that demonstrated what we must or must not do to develop our Christian faith properly and to enable us to serve God more and more effectively. There is no doubt that Jesus’ death on the cross and His wonderful resurrection are key factors here and Jesus has chosen us and saved us through the cross and we must respond to this through our faith and our determination to serve Him more and more.
Our next meeting is on Friday October 11th and our speaker is Chris Bird, who is the minister at Fleet Baptist Church in Hampshire.
