“Prayer Shot” – March summary

Prayer Shot Summary

On Tuesday 1 March, a small group of Staff Team, Filling Station Hosts and guests, gathered to pray online, led by Brian and Trevor.

Here’s our summary of this prayer meeting.

Key themes:

  • Host teams and the Filling Station Staff team
  • Prayer – Particularly seeing men gathering to pray.
  • Healing throughout the Filling Station and in churches – Fusing a healing ministry into every church, not just Filling Station.
  • No fear in this season
  • Ukraine (and Russia)

Key scriptures:

  • Psalm 46:2‘God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.’
  • Deuteronomy 33:12‘May the beloved of the LORD dwell in security by Him, Who shields him all the day, And he dwells between His shoulders.’
  • Psalm 86:9All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.’
  • James 5:14 ‘Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.
  • Daniel 10:12-14‘Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”’

Prophetic Words:

  • A continued call to Prayer – the Lord says to rest and be still and pray for Him to move – in all of this He is not a distant God. He does not see things as the world sees.
  • You people are the voice of courage.
  • ‘For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee.’ (Handel’s Messiah)
  • Saw that 100’s of both Ukrainians and Russians were getting together to pray for peace in their countries.

Prayers:

  • The Lord would strengthen FS Celebration meetings as they re-open – He’d give them confidence.
  • For the Filling Station team – As they put on FillingStation@home, Prayer Shot, and training events for Host teams like Empower & Equip.
  • More resources! – Such as Host team volunteers / finances for Filling Station meetings & the Trust.
  • God is the healer – it’s His heart! Would our meetings be the places where the word goes out to heal people. We long to see people physically, emotionally and spiritually healed.
  • Signs and wonders – We want to see more of that in our meetings. Miraculous healing to be so part of The Filling Station. Praying for courage to do it outside of our meetings!
  • Thanking God for the gifts of the Holy Spirit – Thanking the Lord that we have seen miracles when words of knowledge have been spoken from the front.
  • Praying for Testimonies to be shared – Stories of healing will lead to confidence and hope.
  • Channels of blessing – Asking the Lord how each one of us can be used.
  • Proclaiming freedom for the captives (Isaiah 61) (particularly of fear leftover from Covid)
  • International Needs & Ukraine / Russia – Praying that the enemy will have over-stepped the mark. All schemes of the evil one would be turned to nought, he would be bound and restrained.
  • This is the Lord’s nation! – 70% identify themselves as Christian in Ukraine.
  • Miracles in Ukraine – and we speak more.
  • Deep spiritual warfare – Daniel 10, when the angel came to Daniel and said “we heard your prayer but I was delayed” – this is a battle.
  • The trauma – praying for the women and children and the refugees, the men left behind.
  • People with relatives abroad in Ukraine and Russia.
  • No-one is beyond redemption – Lord may you do powerful things in hearts – like you did with Saul.
