About the Speaker:

Val served in the British Army for 36 years, was saved at age 50; and called to overseas mission in 2002. As one of the founding Trustees of Flame International, and a full-time volunteer with the Charity, Val has been part of the exciting growth of Flame and has helped pioneer the work in the horn of Africa; in Rwanda, Burundi, DRC and South Sudan. The people of this region, both civilian and military, are close to her heart as is the desire to see God setting free captives from trauma, oppression, and conflict, through teaching, personal ministry and healing the land. Val has a passion for mission and for taking the love of Jesus to the hurting. This passion extends to training and discipling others for mission through The Forge, now running in Camberley, Leeds, and Perth Scotland.

Val is a Trustee, Deputy Director, and a Team Leader for Flame International; for almost 20 wonderful and exciting years.
